While attending law school, Alida externed for an insurance coverage and litigation firm, as well as for the Honorable William S. Boyd of the Cook County Circuit Court's Domestic Relations Division. As an extern for Judge Boyd, Alida drafted judicial opinions and researched issues in both procedural and substantive law. Alida also clerked for two Chicago law firms, where she drafted motions and pleadings, researched substantive legal issues, and attended hearings and depositions.
While attending Chicago-Kent, Alida was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, where she competed in moot court competitions across the country. She also served as a Teaching Assistant for Legislation, a required course for first years covering theories of statutory interpretation.
Alida spends her free time with friends and family and likes reading novels. She also enjoys traveling both in the U.S. and abroad and has visited her parents' home country of Serbia approximately 20 times.
