Our Firm has a progressively dynamic and open culture.
We are committed to attracting, retaining, and promoting outstanding lawyers and professionals who reflect the marketplace and communities we serve. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels included and respected, resulting in a collegial, creative workplace where people can contribute fully. We believe this amalgam of diverse perspectives enables us to continually provide innovative solutions to our clients.
Women constitute 55% of our attorneys, nearly half of whom are partners. We have been recognized in Law360’s Glass Ceiling Report as one of the “Best Law Firms For Female Attorneys” in the United States on more than one occasion. Ranking second in the category for firms with 50-149 attorneys, we were acknowledged for “having a higher representation of women than [our] peers” and for “leading the pack in representing women at all levels.”
In September 2021, we adopted the Midsize Mansfield Rule, a national initiative administered by Diversity Lab to help close the gap in the legal profession by requiring participating law firms to affirmatively consider at least 30 percent women attorneys, underrepresented racial and ethnic attorneys, LGBTQ+ attorneys, and attorneys with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and lateral hiring.
Our attorneys are actively involved in organizations such as the Asian American Bar Association, Women in Law Empowerment Forum, Defense Research Institute’s Law and Diversity Committee, California Women Lawyers Association, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Filipino Bar Association of Northern California, and Association of Professional Insurance Women.
