Laura Ann McArdle and Tom Arvanitis Present "Covering Class Actions"

On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Laura Ann McArdle and Thomas W. Arvanitis will present, “Covering Class Actions: Coverage Issues Raised by Class Action Lawsuits and Multi-District Litigation.”

The session will address the general requirements for class action lawsuits under the federal rules, including the prerequisites for class action certification, as well as the Class Action Fairness Act.  The course also address insurance coverage for class action lawsuits, including the duty to defend class allegations, coverage for various types of class action claims (including consumer product, false advertising, and privacy claims), coverage for plaintiff’s attorney’s fees, and claims handling and settlement considerations.
