Keila’s coverage practice focuses on analyzing and litigating complex coverage claims both before and during litigation.  Keila performs extensive legal research on insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices to support client representation. Keila assists in representing the firm’s insurance clients on several matters, including preparing memoranda, motions, and other legal documents on coverage issues, contributing to successful case outcomes.

Before Nicolaides

Keila attended the Hague Academy of International Law in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands where she received a Certificate in Private International Law.  She externed for the Honorable Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court where she wrote memoranda recommending whether to grant or deny petitions of certiorari. Through the Judge Mix Public Interest Diversity Internship Program, Keila externed at the Denver District Attorney’s Office Cold Case Unit where she drafted motions, researched substantive legal issues, and attended hearings and trials. Keila was an active student at the University Denver Sturm College of Law, serving as President of the Latinx Law Student Association and serving as a Denver Law Student Ambassador, as well as participating in the ABA Client Counseling Competition.

Outside Nicolaides

Keila is an avid hiker, cyclist, and traveler. She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
