Karina provides counsel to the firm’s insurer clients in areas including workers compensation, first-party coverage, independent counsel, and conflicts of interests.

Before Nicolaides

Karina previously served as a summer associate at Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP.

Before that, Karina began her legal career as a summer fellow for the Criminal Justice Program at UCLA School of Law’s Criminal Justice Program and paralegal and legal assistant for two Southern California-based law firms. She also volunteered as a mock trial speech coach for Pomona High School and course reader for the Department of Political Science at the University of California at Irvine.
 
While in law school at UCLA School of Law, Karina served as co-chair of the Criminal Justice Society, co-chair of the Womyn of Color Collective, treasurer of the Latinx Law Students Association, and mentor for the UCLA Law Fellows Program.

Outside Nicolaides

Karina enjoys traveling, biking, cooking, and catching up on the Great British Bake Off. Karina is fluent in Spanish.
