Partner Sara Thorpe to Speak at ACCEC

Partner Sara M. Thorpe will speak as a panelist at the ACCEC Annual Meeting in Chicago on May 11, 2017. Sara will participate in "Show Me the Money: Latest Developments in the Recovery of Attorneys Fees in Coverage and Bad Faith Litigation." The discussion will concentrate on the ability of parties in coverage and bad faith litigation to recover attorneys fees which often adds an extra issue into a dispute that can have significant consequences in terms of cost and exposure. Speakers will discuss various ways attorneys fees can be recovered and options available in prosecuting and defending claims for attorneys fees.

ACCEC is composed of preeminent coverage and extracontractual counsel in the United States and Canada, representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders. Through its Board of Regents and its working committees, the College engages in a wide variety of activities designed to promote those goals, in addition to improving the civility and the quality of the practice of insurance law.
