Amy Cassidy To Speak at AIRROC and EECMA's Climate Change Symposium
Amy J. Cassidy will serve as a panelist at the AIRROC/EECMA Climate Change Symposium on September 6, 2018, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The panelists in Amy's session, "The Science of Climate Change and Its Impact," will discuss how scientific data regarding climate change can be used in risk management, to develop future insurance products, and in litigation. Amy will address the admissability of scientific evidence relating to climate change, what courts presiding over climate change cases have concluded regarding scientific evidence, and what types of evidence litigants are presenting in pending litigation. The one-day Symposium, presented by AIRROC and the Environmental and Emerging Claim Manager Association (EECMA), focuses on the insurance industry's role in understanding the risks associated with catastrophic losses resulting from extreme weather events and climate change-related lawsuits facing the oil and gas industry.
