Accidents in the Parking Lot: Understanding an Insurer’s Additional Insured Obligations to Property Owners
Location: DRI’s 2021 Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute
On Friday, July 23, 2021, Charles A. Hafner will present at DRI’s annual Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute at the Swissôtel Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
Charles’ presentation, “Accidents in the Parking Lot: Understanding an Insurer’s Additional Insured Obligations to Property Owners,” will address potential issues arising under ISO’s CG 20 11 endorsement providing additional insured coverage to landlords and property owners for risks relating to their tenant’s use of leased property. The topics to be covered include questions over the scope of the tenant’s “use” of the property, or the description of the leased premises, as well as new issues that may arise in light of ISO’s December 2019 revision of the endorsement.
DRI’s annual Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute provides attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in insurance coverage; gain valuable insight into the handling of complex coverage disputes in this new environment; hone skills in evaluating defense obligations; network with claims professionals and counsel; and much more. The three-day program is a necessary event for every insurance law practitioner and claims professional.
