Monica Sullivan to Speak at DRI Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute

Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP partner Monica T. Sullivan will present “A Rose by Any Other Name: What are ‘Damages,’ and When Are They Covered,” at the Defense Research Institute's annual Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute being held March 21-23, 2018, at the Swissôtel in Chicago, Illinois. Monica’s presentation will provide an overview of the processes courts employ in evaluating whether certain types of relief constitute damages that implicate an insurer’s indemnity obligations under an insurance policy.

Monica focuses her practice on insurance coverage litigation and arbitration, maintaining an international client base that seeks her counsel on matters including pharmaceutical claims, environmental claims, construction claims, and product liability issues. Monica works closely with the insurance industry to identify and implement the most effective means for expedient resolution. Her diversified experience also includes counseling in claims administration and policy analysis, as well as representing clients in complex disputes in a variety of subject areas.
